We have all been there. Driving down the road and the mobile phone rings. Do you reach and answer it…taking your eyes off the road for only a few seconds or do you ignore the ring? Wrongful Death Attorney Emery Brett Ledger states unconditionally that “driving while distracted” is the single most issue keeping him awake at night.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), In 2008, 5,870 people lost their lives and an estimated 515,000 people were injured in police-reported crashes in which at least one form of driver distraction was reported on the police crash report.

Twenty five people were killed and one hundred and thirty five people were injured in this nation’s deadliest train accident. Ledger says his clients lives will be forever changed because the conductor couldn’t resist the impulse to text and thus was distracted.
